NUTRITION
Good nutrition is important for good health. It is also important to provide fuel for recovery and healing post injury. Foods that are high in calcium, protein, potassium, zinc, magnesium, iron and vitamins and minerals are valuable for this to occur.
Your diet should be taken from a variety of nutritious food sources, consist of plenty of breads/cereals (wholegrain), fruit and vegetables, be low in fats (especially saturated), moderate sugars, low salt and limit alcohol intake.
Don’t forget to keep well hydrated (before, during and after exercise). Your body is about 60% water and thus very important to how it functions. So some easy check that you are getting enough: stable body weight pre/post exercise and you excrete a decent volume (~900ml/day) of clear urine.
